The Vision
From the very beginning, the brief was to design a kitchen that felt welcoming, sociable and beautifully organised. It needed to be a space that could transition effortlessly from busy weekday mornings to relaxed evenings spent entertaining family and friends.
Alongside the kitchen, the utility and boot room were designed to become equally hard-working spaces, offering practical storage and organisation without compromising on style. Every room was considered as part of one cohesive design language, ensuring continuity throughout the home.
The Design Process
The kitchen has been carefully composed using a soft, layered colour palette that creates depth without overwhelming the space.
The wall cabinetry and breakfast bar are finished in Cashmere, introducing warmth and subtle elegance, while the island and bespoke wine bar are painted in Graphite, providing a striking focal point and grounding the overall design.
Inside every cabinet, Natural Hamilton Oak interiors add warmth and richness, reinforcing the handcrafted quality of the furniture and creating beautiful moments every time a cupboard is opened.
The adjoining utility and boot room establish their own identity with cabinetry finished in Pompeian Ash by Little Greene, creating a practical workspace that complements the kitchen while maintaining its own character.
A Sophisticated Material Palette
Elegant Strata Pietra Cloud worktops flow throughout the kitchen, their soft movement and refined texture bringing a calm, contemporary feel to the space. The same Pietra Cloud surface continues into the utility room, creating consistency across each area of the home.
Ribbed antique brass T-bar and bar handles introduce warmth and texture, providing a timeless contrast against the soft cabinetry colours while adding subtle tactile detail throughout.
Every finish has been selected to complement the overall palette, creating a home that feels understated, refined and built to stand the test of time.
Thoughtful Features
Every element of The Waters Project has been designed to enhance both functionality and everyday enjoyment.
The generous island forms the social heart of the kitchen, while a bespoke wine bar featuring a double-door wine cooler creates the perfect setting for entertaining.
A Quooker tap paired with a Ribchester 800mm sink offers everyday convenience without compromising on style, while an integrated microwave ensures the clean, uninterrupted lines of the cabinetry remain intact.
Cooking is centred around a Nexus induction cooker, combining modern performance with timeless aesthetics to suit both family meals and entertaining alike.
Within the utility room, practical details have been elevated through thoughtful craftsmanship. A Caple Shaftesbury traditional tap in antique brass pairs beautifully with a Caple Yorkshire ceramic sink, while a handcrafted built-in oak clothes rack provides a practical yet elegant solution for everyday living.
