How Our Design Service Works
The most immersive and inspiring way to design your kitchen is to visit our showrooms and collaborate with our experienced team. Our design appointments typically last between 1 – 2 hours and we are pleased to offer this initial design service free of charge.
Arrange a Design Consultation
1. Initial Consultation
Whether in the showroom or virtually, we aim to build an idea of your requirements, discussing ranges, materials, colours, appliances, finishing touches and more. This is a chance to learn how you use your kitchen and ensure we're combining your aesthetic vision to your functional requirements and expectations.
2. Your Site Survey
Where possible, we like our expert surveying team to attend your property to undertake an accurate measurement, ensuring our designs truly reflect the layout of your property. Alternatively, we are able to work from plans, however we recommend a site survey prior to manufacturing ensuring an accurate and smooth installation process.
3. Design Presentation
After your consultation and home measure, our team begins to work on your project. Soon after, you will be invited back for a personal design presentation using our 3D design tools. Here we talk aesthetics, functionality and you have the opportunity to view a wide range of samples.
How to Prepare
If possible, and to move the process along as efficiently as we can for you, please try to include details of the following bullet points when booking an appointment; if you don’t have these to hand, don’t worry! Our team will be happy to help.
- The project address and your contact number.
- The timescales for the kitchen element of your project.
- An indication of your budget and whether this includes worktops, appliances, and installation.
- A dimensioned room plan, whether this is a DWG/PDF of an architect’s plan or a simple hand-drawn plan, we need to know the window and door measurements along with their locations, the ceiling heights, and any other features that may hinder the placement of furniture. - Information on any structural work being carried out, do you require planning permission or any other relevant permissions and if so, are these now in place?
- The range of furniture you are interested in (Signature, Classic or Heritage)
- Information about the appliances you are planning to have in your kitchen and whether you prefer freestanding or integrated (the makes and models are really useful to know if you have specific appliances in mind).
- A wish list and links to a Pinterest board are a great help along with any photographs you might have of the existing space.
