The Vision
The design brings together traditional craftsmanship and a quietly contemporary approach to kitchen living.
The main cabinetry is finished in Farrow & Ball’s ‘French Gray’, a soft green-grey that creates a calm and elegant backdrop. Around the room, the cabinetry establishes a sense of continuity, allowing the natural ash grain and considered detailing to remain central to the design.
At the centre, the island introduces a softer contrast in ‘Dry Rose’. Its gentle blush tone adds warmth and personality without overpowering the room, creating a subtle focal point that draws the eye towards the heart of the kitchen.
Together, the colours create a palette that feels warm, sophisticated and beautifully understated.

The Hardisty Project is defined by the smaller details that reward a closer look.
A bespoke glazed dresser sits as a glowing centrepiece within the kitchen. Fitted with routered strip lighting, it creates a warm display for glassware and personal collections, transforming storage into something more expressive.
It is a cabinet designed not simply to store, but to celebrate what is placed within it.
Elsewhere, tongue and groove end panels feature on both the larder and dresser, adding another layer of handcrafted character. The detailing introduces a subtle rhythm across the cabinetry, helping to tie the different elements of the room together.

The main cabinetry in ‘French Gray’ brings a timeless softness to the room. Its muted green-grey undertones create a sense of calm, while complementing the natural warmth and variation of the ash doors.
The island, finished in ‘Dry Rose’, provides a gentle counterpoint. Warm and sophisticated, the blush tone adds just enough contrast to give the centre of the room its own identity.
Completing the palette are the ‘Elegant Cream’ quartz worktops, chosen for their ability to bring warmth, light and subtle sophistication to the space.

At the centre of the kitchen, an AEG induction hob with a downward extractor brings contemporary technology into the traditional setting.
By drawing steam and odours downwards, the integrated extraction system removes the need for an overhead extractor, preserving clear sightlines across the room. This allows the open aesthetic of the kitchen to remain uninterrupted while delivering the performance needed for everyday cooking.
